Thanks to all the patrol members who patrolled on Australia Day, the club acknowledges that this was not a normally rostered patrol and our requirements were only for 2 Bronze Medallion Holders between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Also to all the members who patrolled over the Australia Day Weekend, with the extreme weather events being not only the heat but a sudden electrical storm and heavy rain.
The clubs efforts have not gone unrecognised with a note of thanks being recieved from SLSNSW Director of Life Saving Stuart Harvey (below).
The Sea Eels Winter Swimming Club ran an Aussie BBQ on Australia, that was well supported by locals and visitors to Stanwell Park Beach. The BBQ raised $415 for the winter swimmers and just under $1000 across the bar during the day. Well done to the winter swimmers, thanks to all the helpers on the day and the people that supported the event.
