27/10/2002 | The Coal Cutter | Named in recognition for the on-going support by the Metropolitan Colliery and associated coal mining companies. Funded by a fund raising night at Engadine Bowling Club organised by Don Burke, Matthew White, Geoff Wood, Paul Robberds, Terry Daintry, Rod Fairbarin, Mark Wallace, Luke Walsh, David Anger, and Ron & Deb McCormack. Additional funds were provided by Helensburgh Coal. This boat saw the formation of "The Stanny Rowers" with the aim at being self sufficient in terms of funding the operation of surf boats within the club |
