Training and competition equipment is very expensive (both to purchase and repair).  Boards should be carried not dragged and should be laid - fin up.  Children are not, on any occasion, to stand or kneel on boards whilst riding them.  (Coolite "Foamie" boards are for U/8 to U/10 only).

Damages or losses are to be reported immediately to the Gear Steward or Chairperson.  Each board should be washed in fresh water, placed in their cover  and returned to the storage shed after use (not left on the beach).

BOARD LEASING

Leasing of boards for water competitors is available upon request to Chairperson/Secretary.  There are certain requirements, such as training, commitment. There is also a cost involved, which is detailed in the lease agreement.  We encourage members to participate in water events at carnivals and to think about the lease option, it is cheaper than buying your own craft. Boards will be distributed on the advice of the water coach in regards to size, weight, experience etc. Depending on how many boards the club owns will also determine how many will be available for leasing. If you are interested in the leasing option, please ask our water coach for assistance.
