Bobo White was a foundation member of the club way back in 1989 and has had continuous service for 21 years.

He was club treasurer in 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992.

Chief Handicapper in 1991.

Head Timekeeper in 1992, 1993 and 1994.

He has won the Club Championship along with many age and handicap events over the years. Unfortunately 1 prize that has eluded him over the years is the coveted Slippery Eel Trophy, with some intense training he will add that trophy to his collection.

One of Bobo;s greatest achievements in the club was to stamp out the practice of foxing. He did this whole Head Timekeeper. It was great to watch Bobo tell people who has won their heat or better still had won the final that they had broken by two hundredths of a second. It is has been noted foxing has crept back in over the last few year. So again we may well have to call on Bobo with his on a stopwatch to rid us of this scourge again.

It is a wonder why it has taken us so long to acknowledge a character, a stirrer, a good clubman and generally a good guy to have around the pool and club house for all the above reasons.
