“Huge thanks to our patrolling members for another very, very busy New Years period at Stanwell Park Beach.
Thousands of beachgoers, hundreds of preventative actions and a significant number of rescues.
The northern and southern lagoons have been our most dangerous areas unfortunately, with children needing medical / ambulance support due to near drowning incidents.
Special thanks goes out to the off duty medical personnel & council lifeguards who were able to assist on Monday, as well as the Emergency services who can never be thanked enough for the work that they do.
Enormous efforts from our volunteers through the holiday period. The essential mix of experience and selfless enthusiasm has taken care of our beach this summer.
Hope things stay safe & well done.”
