Cost-of-Living Concession for Cadets and Patrol Members

Surf Life Saving NSW has provided a donation to all NSW surf life saving clubs to assist our frontline lifesavers with Cost-of-Living expenses in the 2024/25 season.

The Executive Committee has decided that Cadet and Active Patrol members who commit to undertake rostered patrols throughout the 2024/25 season will not be charged a membership fee
this season, subject to completing membership renewal prior to commencement of patrols on 29/09/2024.

Each member must still complete membership renewal by logging into the SLSA Members Portal – click on this link https://members.sls.com.au/SLSA_Online/modules/login/index.php

Once logged in, go to Memberships, then select Renew, Pay, Transfer & Archive; this will allow you to complete details including your intended membership category for 2024/25

The next screen is for payment. Please select your membership category as either Cadet, Active 15-18 years, Active 18-65 years, or Active 66 years and over. If the correct membership category has been selected, it will indicate that no fee is payable for your 2024/25 membership.

Please note the Club reserves the right to withdraw the concession. If for example, a member decides not to continue with rostered patrols or transfers to another Club prior to the end of the
season, the Club may withdraw the concession and seek payment of the normal membership fee.

Joining fee for new members who will be candidates for the Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion training courses.

A joining fee applies to new members, or members transferring from other clubs, who will be candidates for the Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion training course in the 2024/25 season.

The joining fee has been reduced from $120 to $60 this year and applies to Cadets (13-14 years), Active (15-18 years) Members, and Active (18 years and over) Members. The joining fee includes the training course and membership fees for the following year (2025-26); the 2024/25 membership fee is covered by the Cost-of-Living Concession.

Concession for members 66 years of age and over.

A $40.00 fee is available for Active (patrol) Members, Reserve Active Members, Long Service Members, Associate Members and Honorary Members 66 years of age and over, and in possession of an Aged Pension Card or NSW Seniors Card.

Community Members

A fee of $30.00 applies for Community members.

General Members

A fee of $20.00 applies for Sea Eels winter swimming members.

Life Members

No fee is payable by Life Members.

Family memberships

A maximum fee of $240 applies for a family when both parents and two or more school children become members; if the family group includes a new member or members for which a joining fee is payable, ie a candidate for the Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion training course, extra fees may be payable. If one or more members of the family are patrolling members, the Cost-of-Living concession can be deducted from the total fee payable.

If you have difficulty completing this, or you do not receive your concession, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for assistance. Please include a brief summary of the problem.
