Club Life Member George Jardine passed away on the morning of 29 May 2015.

From the club history book "Vigilance and Service", "Geroge was a strong belt swimmer winning title at Branch level in both Junior and Senior events and won the Senior Belt Championship at the Illawarra Branch Championships in 1947; also a notable first grade rugby league player with the St George District Rubgy League Club. Awarded Life Membership in 1993"

George was a clubbie till the end, attending surf club events and functions when his health permitted.
