Well done to club member Ian Manley who has picked up the clubs first Gold Medal at the SLSNSW 2018 State Champs in the Masters Champion Lifesaver event.

The Champion Lifesaver event provides individual SLSA members the opportunity to demonstrate in a competitive manner the physical, lifesaving and knowledge skills required of a Lifesaver. The skills include,

• Surf Race
• Board Race
• Beach Sprint
• Rescue Tube Race
• Theory Paper
• Resuscitation

Competitors earn points during the event, with the competitor gaining the highest number of points winning the event.
