On 01 December 2023, the club received from Wollongong City Council "Landowners Consent To Lodge An Application".

This gives consent for Helensburgh-Stanwell Park Surf Life Saving Club to lodge a Development Application to Wollongong City Council for the proposed development activity being Extension of lifeguard equipment storage areas (make the surf club accessible).
