The inaugural Club Weekend Getaway is on. Helensburgh-Stanwell Park Surf Club will be setting up camp at Lake Tabourie Holiday Park from Friday, 9 September to Sunday, 11 September 2016.
The aim of the weekend is to get as many members (Nippers, Patrol Members, Life Members, Associate Members,....) together before the season starts to do a bit of fitness training, start awards training and generally bond as a club. There are a lot of other clubs around the country that have been successfully running similar weekends for many years.
The program for the weekend is still being worked out, and will depend on numbers. The basic outline is to arrive on Friday evening and setup camp, up early Saturday for activities, socialise on Saturday night, up early Sunday for more activities, then around lunchtime pack up and head home.
Ideally located between the lake and the beach, the location will give club members the opportunity to participate in a number of recreational and life saving based activities

For the first year, the club will be leaving the accommodation arrangements and meals up to the members.

Please note that because this is a Surf Club Organised Event, any participants in the activities will need to be current members of the Surf Club. To help facilitate this, the club will have membership forms available at the camp, as well as EFTPOS facilities.
