The Sea Wolves IRB Racing Team headed up to South-West Rocks for the 2022 Sharkskin NSW IRB Championships on 10 and 11 July 2022, and came home with a bag of medals bigger than anyone had hoped for.

The rookies were the stars for the club picking up GOLD in the Rookie Mass Rescue, SILVER & BRONZE in the Rookie Rescue. Which is quite and outstanding achievement for competitors in their first 2 years of racing.

GOLD - Rookie Mass Rescue - Elliot Mithieux (Driver), Mathew Webber (Crew), Lachlan McDonald (Patient) and Marc Ezzeddine (Patient)

SILVER - Rookie Rescue - Elliot Mithieux (Driver), Mathew Webber (Crew), Marc Ezzeddine (Patient)

BRONZE - Rookie Rescue - Jack Dabrowski (Driver), Anthony Ashley (Crew), Kiara Manning (Patient)

This was an excellent effort from the team, and reward for one of their best racing seasons ever. The team participated in a bunch of finals across all events.

The weekend wasn't without drama, which saw the club having borrow motors and boats from Coogee and Caves Beach to compete in the finals.

A big vote of thanks must go the Anthony Ashley (Powercraft Captain) and Mathew Webber (Vice Powercraft Captain) for their drive and enthusiasm to build an IRB Racing Team within the club.
