Patrol Captain from Patrol 6 - Iris Huizinga, husband Hal and their 2 girls are heading off to Auckland, New Zealand to live for the next 3 years.

Iris came to the club from Coogee Surf Club when her family moved to Helensburgh 6 years ago. Since she arrived at the club she has been a great asset to our organisation. She was a Patrol Captain, First Aid Officer, Ocean Swim Competitor, Winter Swimmer and generally helped out where she could. On Collection Day a couple of years back, Iris spent nearly the whole day collecting in The Crescent, and went back the next day to try again with the people who were not home.

Iris also has a great personality and builds relationship with all ages, and even managed to get her whole patrol to attend the Awards of Excellence Night (Pictured below, Iris is on the right).
