22/08/2019 - DUE TO THE FORECASTED WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PUT UP THEIR HAND TO HELP OUT

The club in conjunction with Surf Life Saving Illawarra is holding a mock search & rescue event on Sunday, 25 August 2019 to test the club's ability to respond to an incident and call out.

Report time to the surf club is 11:15am, with the event starting at 12noon. We need time to get patients and equipment in place.

We are looking for the following members to take part,

• 3 IRB Drivers and Crewpersons (2 IRB's will be in the Search & Rescue Event, 1 will act as Water Safety) - Contact Anthony Ashley This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. 0428 049 400 if you are interested
• 1 UAV Pilot
• 4 Patients - Must have SRC/Bronze Medallion and a wetsuit, you could be in the water for a while
• 2 First Aid / ARTC
• 4 General Patrol Members to assist patients and treat when they return to shore
• 1 BBQ Chef for afterwards

Everyone participating will be required to wear patrol uniform.

There is a chance of media presence on the day as well as other parties interested in our capability.
