Today Surf Boat Captain - Mark 'Bluey' Lea advised that the Centenary Surf Boat and Trailer has been sold. The boat was sold for $7,000 and trailer for $2,000.

The Tea Gardens Hawkes Nest Surf Club purchased the boat and trailer. The club is relatively new to surf boat rowing, competing in surf boat for the first time in the clubs history during the 2010/11 season. So hopefully the purchase of this champion boat will lead to further success for their club. The club is located at the northern end of the Hunter Branch, north of Newcastle.

Great work 'Bluey' is tracking down a buyer for the boat, negotiating a fair price and honoring the agreement for the club purchase of a new boat in June 2013.

Tea Gardens Hawks Nest will be picking up the boat next weekend and will pay by cheque upon pick up.
