Circular 3287: 33rd Edition Public Safety and Aquatic Rescue Manual Review

As part of the continual review of SLS services and continuous improvement of SLS education materials, SLSA is commencing a review of the 33rd Edition Public Safety & Aquatic Rescue Manual. The review commenced in October 2012, with the release of the 34th Edition manual planned for the 2014/15 season.

Applications are now open for the 2013 National Leadership College to be held on February 3-9 2013 at St Paul’s College, Sydney.

Rip currents remain the greatest hazard on Australian beaches, yet many people remain unaware of the dangers that they pose. National Rip Current Awareness Day is on 4 November, 2012.

The 2012 NSW Endurance Championships hosted by Surf Life Saving NSW is on again, this time on the beautiful shores of Swansea Belmont in the Hunter.

Mon 5 Nov 2012 - Beach to Bush

The Beach to Bush program is an educational initiative of Surf Life Saving. Volunteer presenters head inland to bring surf safety messages to primary school kids.

Fri 23 Nov 2012 - 18-25 Development Networking Program

The Development Networking Program is offered to members 18-25 years old from all areas of the organisation. It provides an opportunity to expand your real social network, meeting like-minded people who share the same interests and passions.

Sat 24 Nov 2012 - Coaching the Coast

The Coaching the Coast Clinic is the beginning of the SLSNSW Athlete Development and High Performance Pathway and continues to gain momentum with clinics scheduled for Cape Hawke SLSC and Mollymook SLSC.
