2014 SLSNSW Awards of Excellence

We are excited to announce the MC for the 2014 NSW Surf Life Saving Awards of Excellence, proudly presented by Stramit Building Products, is Layne Beachley.

Layne is widely regarded as the most successful female surfer in history. The only surfer, male or female, to claim six consecutive world titles and then go onto win a 7th world title.

Memo: 2015 SLSNSW State Championships Powercraft Requirements

To ensure the safety of all competitors competing in the 2015 SLSNSW State Championships (Age, Open & Masters), a Powercraft roster has been implemented and introduced from season 2012/13. For the State Championships this season (2014/15), clubs have been identified based on entries from 2013/14 entries. Not every club will be required to supply an IRB. This requirement will be advised when the roster has been completed.

Pacific Palms Lifesavers Awarded Rescue of the Month

Six lifesavers from Pacific Palms SLSC have been awarded the Surf Life Saving NSW Rescue of the month for May/June for the joint response resulting in the rescue of a rock fisherman near Seal Rocks.

Dangerous Surf Warning For NSW Coastline

Surf Life Saving NSW is warning swimmers, surfers, boat skippers and rock-fishers about dangerous surf conditions for the NSW coastline this Friday 18th and Saturday 19th July.

SLSA’s The Next Wave program is holding a free Surf Ski Development Clinic at Coffs Harbour SLSC which is open to all surf coaches and 16-20 year old male and female athletes.

The 2014 SLSNSW Pool Rescue Championships are returning to Peninsula Leisure Centre on the NSW Central Coast on 26-27 July for what should be an action packed weekend of pool rescue.

The 2014 Australian Pool Rescue Championships will take place from August 8 - 10 at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre in NSW.
