Helensburgh-Stanwell Park Surf Life Saving Club would like to welcome the return of an old club sponsor and supporter the Helensburgh Hotel.

The support from Helensburgh Hotel will be used by the club to upskill it’s members to operate the clubs inflatable rescue boats (IRB), this being done thru the Stanwell Park Sea Wolves IRB Racing Team.

The Helensburgh Hotel logo will be displayed on the club’s IRB Competition Gear Trailer, the club website and sponsor board.

IRB Competition is conducted in the off-season (winter months) as a way of improving IRB Driver and Crew skills. The competition is fast and furious, and lots of fun. There are 10 members in the current IRB Team, and they are looking to recruit more. Always on the look out for Drivers, Crew and Patient. The events are open to male and female competitors. The teams compete in a series of simulated rescue races designed to retrieve patients from the surf quickly and efficiently.

To show support for the Helensburgh Hotel a “Wear your club shirt to The Pub” night is being planned, and on the first night the IRB Team will be introduced and issued with the new uniforms.
