More than 12 months ago, our boat rowing section was able to secure a very generous sponsorship deal with Westfund Health Insurance. The initial amount granted by Westfund towards the purchase of our new surf boat was $10,000. The sponsorship deal was designed with another 2 levels of sponsorship to follow. The deal is, that if we have 15 members take out Hospital + extras cover, a second amount of $10,000 would be past on to our boat section. If we were to have 30 members take out Hospital + extras cover it would unlock the final instalment of $10,000 making a total of $30,000.

As a small club, sponsorships like this are very few and far between, so it would be a shame for us to let this opportunity slip. At the moment, we have 10 members signed up, and only require another 5 to unlock the next $10,000. The unfortunate situation is that the deal cannot run for ever. Westfund Wollongong manager Lence Naumovski has bent over backwards to help us get the most out of our sponsorship, and has had the deal extended to 30th June 2019.(4mths longer than the initial deal). So if you are thinking of changing funds, or you are willing to change funds just to support your club, this is what you need to do.

(1) Contact Lence or her staff at Westfund Wollongong for a obligation free quote. (1300 937 838) Remember to tell them that you are a member of Helensburgh Stanwell Park Surf Club so they can add you to the tally?

(2) Compare the quote with your current cover.

(3) and if you are satisfied, swap to Westfund before 30th June 2019.

The latest member to sign on with Westfund advised me that for their cover, they will save approx $750 for the year.

If we can get at least those 5 extras to unlock the next $10,000, the boat rowers would be eternally thankful.
