Claim Your Fuel Tax CreditsTime is running out for clubs to claim money back from the ATO for fuel tax for up to four years! At no cost, Deloitte is providing assistance pro bono to clubs who may be missing out on substantial reimbursement of fuel tax. Very few clubs have taken advantage of the opportunity to claim money back and if there is no interest the ATO may not continue with the program. More information can be found here. Incident Data Collectors NeededThe safety of competitors in surf sport events is vitally important and you can assist Surf Life Saving in its ongoing research into how to best protect its members. The Surf Hazard Rating model which has been trialled in surfboat racing for several seasons is planned to be extended to other disciplines including board and ski events from U15 through to Masters. So we have accurate information on which to base a hazard rating system, incident data will be collected at selected events during the 2016-17 season. We need volunteers to help collect this data by recording things like how many people come off their craft, how many don’t finish the race etc. You don’t need to be a qualified Official – you might be a competitor who is not racing at that event, a recorder, or a club administrator who is familiar with surf sports events. If you can’t volunteer for a whole day that’s fine too, just let us know the time you are available during the event. If you can help us collect accurate data so sensible decisions can be made about safety risks during surf events, go to the circular for more information. ![]() CoastalWatch Weekend ForecastLatest CircularsCircular Reminders: Memo: NSW Stronger Communities Fund Grant ProgramFri 5 Aug 2016 - The first round of the NSW Stronger Communities Fund Community Grants Program for incorporated not-for-profit community organisations in the Central Coast Council area is now open, closing 26 August.
